Quake Aid to Coastal Areas/Aleppo
Humanitarian Project- May 2023

The Earthquake and aftershocks in Aleppo and the coastal areas in Syria including the town of Daher Safra, and the city of Latakia, left thousands of Refugees without homes. There is a desperate need for medicine, food, clean water, and basic necessities. Dr. Hazar Michael born in Daher Safra and a practicing gastroenterologist in New Jersey, has spearheaded a fundraising campaign with her two daughters and raised funds on GoFundMe to benefit those affected by the disaster in the coastal areas and is continuing raising funds with Togetherness US for other affected areas. Our coordinator in Daher Safra and the Maronite parish in Latakia are providing food boxes, medicine and other basic supplies, and are repairing damaged homes. Also, we are providing assistance to shelters in Safita and Kafrun area. Our community projects in Aleppo are providing food and necessities to people affected by this disaster and hospital spplies.

Togetherness US is a nonprofit charitable organization established in 2021 with the mission of helping Syrians navigate the hardships of an ongoing 12-year war and the recent Earthquake which added more insult to injury hardship to the Syrian people.
