The School Orphan Convent of Saydnaya has been supporting orphan Children under 18 years old since 2011. The Convent Nuns administered the school organized a group of teachers and volunteers to assist with the children by providing shelter, food, education, social engagement. The school administrator sister Theodora Elias with teachers and volunteers have multiplied the initiatives for the local population.

Togetherness US board member Mrs. Alma Khoury Korkor raised $3,000 and visited the center in October, 2023 which she toured the Saydnaya Orphan Covent and delivered the grant. The fund is t to enable children to develop into adults who have the skills to take responsibility for themselves and contribute to their community. The grant is small and the need is bigger to support the center with the ongoing shelter, food, and education expenses.
