For Children with Special Need

– Beit Al-Salam (Peace House) Center has been supporting youth and adult over 18 with special need. The administrators organized a group of teachers and volunteers to assist by providing shelter, food, education, social engagement and mental guidance.

– Al-Mahabah (Love Association) has been supporting Children under 18 with special need founded in 1980. The Association organized a group of teachers and volunteers to assist 37 children by providing shelter, food, education, social engagement and mental guidance. The children admitted regardless of their faith, and gender. The association director Nabil Kouba with teachers provide socio-education activities, vocational training, and life skills.

– The Sisters of Mother Teresa in Damascus dedicated to provides free services to the poor, elderly and deserted individuals, irrespective of social class, creed, or color. The grant is to help with food, cleaning supplies, clothes, etc.

Togetherness US board member Mrs. Alma Khoury Korkor raised $3,000 and visited the centers in November, 2023 which she toured the centers, met with the schools administrators and the children with special need. The fund is t to enable children to develop into adults who have the skills to take responsibility for themselves and contribute to their community. The grant is small and the need is bigger to support the centers with the ongoing shelter, food, and education expenses.
